How did the two of you meet?
We met through a mutual friend, Maggie, who ended up being my maid of honor. She was overseeing a fundraiser at a bar for a fallen Marine. She asked if I would stay with her until the end of the night and I agreed. Bryan was best friends with the fallen Marine that the fundraiser was in honor of so he was also in attendance. Maggie introduced us. We became friends and started dating the following year.
How did Bryan propose?
Annapolis is one of my favorite cities-I used to intern at the Naval Academy in college and fell in love with the area! One day this past January, Bryan asked if I wanted to go to Annapolis for the day to walk around and go shopping. He knew I would never turn that option down! We walked around downtown Annapolis, went into the boutiques, and I took him on a tour of the Naval Academy. He then took me out to dinner at Pusser’s and we sat by the windows admiring the water and the boats. Even though it was cold outside, Bryan asked if I wanted to take a walk down the dock to look at the boats. We got all the way to the end of the dock and I was freezing so I turned around. Bryan gently grabbed me by the arm and when I turned around, he was down on one knee with the ring box opened. He asked me to marry him and I of course said yes!
